About Greg

A passionate storyteller with a creative imagination, Gregory Lygon’s voice and music can be heard on a variety of projects. His experience includes on-camera and voiceover work in commercials and industrials, as well as theatrical and musical credits. Past projects include voice narration and custom music for brands like Foxchase Mall, Mul-t-Lock, Manny and Olga's Pizza, and Charley Horse Grill. With the McLean Community Theater, Lygon appeared onstage in the role of Mr. Thorkelson in "I Remember Mama".

Lygon was a performing songwriter in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Performing as a soloist, Lygon released “UnEarthly Passions” (2001) and “The Most Lucid Moments” (2005). In 2004, He was nominated for the Wammie Award (Best New Age Guitarist) by the Washington Area Music Association. In 2006, Lygon collaborated with hammered-dulcimer artist Darcy Nair on her Grammy-nominated CD, “High Strung”, where Lygon contributed guitar and vocals. He was selected as a judge for the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest for the Songwriters’ Association of Washington. He appeared with other regional acts, including Cerulean Groove and the Rub.

Gregory Lygon appeared as a guest on the Silver Linings Handbook. The November 2023 Episode, “Lost Sheep: The Religious Trauma from When Our Shepherds Betray Us with Greg Lygon,” saw Greg sharing his personal testimony of surviving a religious cult.
